Aerodrome and Velodrome merged into Aero across Base, Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Ink, Arc, and Robinhood Chain. Continuous allocation replaces weekly reward votes, and token conversion is not automatic or reversible.
veAERO (locked NFT) can now be upgraded to sAERO, which accrues daily rewards instead of weekly epochs.
Uniswap v4 became an aggregator with Aggregator Hooks on Ethereum, Base, and Robinhood Chain. Uniswap says 7 sources are live at launch, covering more than 90% of DEX activity. Swaps routed through the hooks pay protocol fees that contribute to UNI burns.
Pendle launched PendleLoop for leveraged trades and yield loops. It supports long and short positions on any token, including tokenized stocks, and looping of PT yields.
Aave V4 opened its first externally curated markets, run by Sentora. Users can borrow RLUSD, PYUSD, and OUSD against yield-bearing and blue-chip collateral. Aave also made USDC and USDT deposits from Monad live in its mobile app.
Morpho’s P2P orders now support any loan asset. Users can create custom lend and borrow orders across supported networks, settled on Morpho Midnight.

Keystone confirmed hackers breached its website. Names, contact details, home addresses, and order info were exposed. Seed phrases and keys were not touched, and Keystone has since apologized
ZachXBT says $15.8M of CoinDCX user deposits remain unaccounted for after its 2025 incident. CoinDCX denies a new breach and says the flagged addresses are old wallets compromised in July 2025.
A THORChain bug triggered node bond penalties. THORChain deducted about 140 RUNE from 18 node bonds, and said no funds were lost. ZEC swaps stay halted until a fix scheduled around Oct 23. CHECK: confirm ZEC swaps are back before sending

Aave V4’s Coinbase Tokenized Stocks hub got USDC supplier incentives on Base.
JPMorgan brought JPM Coin to Ethereum, a deposit token for institutional clients, and put tokenized money market funds MONY and JLTXX on Solana for qualified U.S. investors.
Frax launched on-chain FX on Base with six local-currency stablecoins that trade against frxUSD on Aerodrome.

DefiLlama partnered with Trueo to launch prediction markets settled on DefiLlama data, covering protocol revenue, exploit odds for Aave and Morpho, and Solana vs Base TVL. Users can now hedge exploit risk or trade revenue narratives directly.

Extended moved settlement from Starknet to Arc on Oct 22. Users with over $1 of USDT or wBTC per sub-account had to approve conversion or withdraw by Oct 21, 12:00 UTC to avoid forced closures.

The OCC finalized its first GENIUS Act rule on Oct 21, setting standards for stablecoin issuers’ reserve backing, redemption, and risk management. The OCC says requirements are tailored to each issuer’s business model and risk profile, with examination cycles based on size and complexity.
Solana activates alpenglow on mainnet, replacing the old consensus with a target of 150ms finality, about 40× faster than the 12.8 seconds before. Co-founders Toly and Raj Gokal then called for dropping the “beta” label.
