Chainlink's deUSD price feed spiked to $1.028 on Avalanche, triggering over $500K in liquidations on Euler within three blocks. The move stemmed from a Curve swap on Ethereum involving Elixirβs RWA-backed deUSD, which caused thin liquidity slippage that Chainlinkβs cross-chain oracle registered. DeFi teams Re7 and K3 responded by overriding the feed to a fixed $1 rate.
The event underscores continued risks in oracle design amid leveraged DeFi loops and fragmented liquidity.
MegaETH has confirmed its X account was compromised. Users are advised to avoid all recent posts and links. Official updates will be shared via the MegaPhone Telegram broadcast channel.
Taiwan-based cryptocurrency exchange BitoPro has confirmed a security breach resulting in the loss of over $11.5 million in digital assets from its hot wallets on May 8, 2025. The breach was publicly disclosed on June 2

Paradigm researcher Dave White introduced Orbital, a new AMM design extending concentrated liquidity to stable pools with three or more tokens. Instead of linear tick ranges, Orbital uses spherical "orbits" around the $1 peg, enabling capital efficiency even during depegs. LPs can customize exposure with multi-radius ticks, while the toroidal math enables efficient onchain execution across assets.

Aave's governance proposal 320 is set to activate Umbrella, a decentralized staking system designed to protect suppliers from bad debt. Users can stake aTokens to earn rewards while retaining Aave yield, with slashing only triggered if bad debt arises.
BOB is upgrading USDC to Chainlink's CCIP to streamline cross-chain transfers. The migration begins on June 4 and is expected to complete within 24 hours. Wallet balances remain unaffected, and no user action is required during the bridging contract update.
