Recap: Week of May 17

Last week bluechips Sushi launched Sake on MISO and Yearn launched SNX yVault, AAVE building institutional markets, and Coinbase launched a wallet extension.

Several new DeFi projects also launched, including Uniswap’s fish.vote, gas AMM weiWard, MEV project MiningDAO, Uniswap V3 Vault manager Visor, and CRV yield optimizer Convex.

Two major hacks occurred last week: BSC yield optimizer PancakeBunny and DeFi Options protocol FinNexus both got hacked and suffered from price drops.

  Visor Finance launched a private beta. The protocol lets users actively manage liquidity positions on Uniswap v3.

• Convex Live
  Convex has launched as a liquidity booster for Curve Finance, which makes being a Curve LP easier and more rewarding.

• Coinbase Wallet Chrome Extension
  Coinbase launched a wallet extension on Chrome. This user friendly extension makes it easier for more people to access DeFi.

Hacks👾

• Bunny Hack
  PancackBunny on BSC was subjected to an oracle attack on May 20, which led to a huge price drop, however no vaults got breached.

• FinNexus Hack
  FinNexus lost its token contract private key due to a hack on May 17. The attacker then minted and sold 323 million FNX, which led to a severe price drop.

Upcoming⏳

• Lixir
  Lixir, an automated liquidity concentrator for Uni v3, delayed live launch to May 23rd 4pm UTC — however as of publication there is still no launch link…

• AAVE Pro
  AAVE revealed Pro: permissioned lending markets for institutions.
