TL;DR:

Neutrl paused NUSD minting and redemptions after sNUSD crashed 46.9% to $0.5582 — no exploit confirmed, details pending.

tx’s XRPL bridge was exploited, leaving bridged XRP unbacked.

Trezor and SafePal both disclosed shipping-data breaches.

xStocks expanded to Hyperliquid; EtherFi moved its Cash card onto Aave V4.

  • If you’re exposed to NUSD or bridged XRP on tx, hold off and wait for official remediation.

Issues⚠️

  • Neutrl paused NUSD minting, redemptions, and other functions after issues hit protocol reserves — no exploit confirmed yet. sNUSD has already dropped 46.9% to $0.5582. $3.5M was pulled from a Curve pool as a precaution, and linked platforms like Strata Markets have paused connected contracts.

    • NUSD itself holds near $1 for now, but the solvency dashboard is reportedly broken, leaving transparency gaps.

    • Neutrl says details on next steps are coming soon.

  • tx’s XRPL bridge was exploited on August 9 via a deposit-detection flaw that let the attacker mint bridged XRP against transactions with no real XRP deposited, then withdraw real XRP against those fake balances.

    • Bridged XRP on tx is currently unbacked; other bridged assets are unaffected. The bridge is halted, and an FBI complaint has been filed.

    • If you hold bridged XRP on tx, take no action yet — official remediation details are pending, and be wary of any third party claiming to offer recovery.

  • Unknown attackers drained $25.6M across aWBTC ($6.3M), DAI ($5.1M), WBTC ($4.7M), and ETH ($2.6M) in a reported exploit. The hacker has converted stolen funds to 20M DAI and 3K ETH ($5.64M) held across four addresses.

  • Hyperliquid invested $29M through its Policy Center, pushing for compliant US entry, as perps remain in a regulatory gray area.

  • A proposal at Optimism would redirect 546.9M OP originally reserved for future user airdrops into a Strategic Ecosystem Fund instead. Voting ends August 20, with 74% currently in favor and 25% against.
