Andre Cronje has teased the UI of a new Yearn Finance functionality. It seems that users will be able to buy or sell options on a variety of popular DeFi tokens.

The significance of this, besides that its awesome, is that options allow users or protocols to hedge Impermanent Loss. This allows for new “delta neutral” yield farming strategies that weren’t possible before.

Why use a new pricing model? It may be more suitable (and practical) on DeFi. It seems the new options functionality will also rely heavily on keep3r.
