OUSD Hacked
OUSD, a yield-bearing stablecoin by Origin Protocol, has been hacked for $2.25M.
The hack exploited a re-entrancy bug in the code, according to Origin co-founder Matthew Liu. Hacked funds were sent to Tornado Cash, as well as RenBTC. Find out more in the Medium article from Origin.
New Sushi Menu
In the wake of UNI rewards ending, Sushiswap has created a new βpermanent menuβ which increases rewards for the four pools that lost UNI rewards:
wbtc/eth
usdc/eth
usdt/eth
dai/eth
If you were previously LPing on Uniswap, it may make sense to switch over.
Nuo Shuts Down
Nuo Network, one of the first DeFi lending platforms, has officially shut down today. While Nuo Network shuts down, the team has not quit Defi, but rather pivoted. The next steps for the team seem to be Nuo Exchange, as well as Juno, a so-called βNeo bankβ.
Ren MultiChain
Ren Protocol has added more chains and assets to RenVM. Digibyte, Doge, Filecoin, and Luna are some of the new assets available on RenVM on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.
M&A+zLOT
Molly and Andre, a DeFi fund cofounded by Andre Cronje and Molly Wintermute of hegic options, has contributed $100k of HEGIC ,committed to paying for the security audit of zLOT, and bought 10% of zLOT supply.
zLOT is a staking project for HEGIC. While HEGIC has native staking, zLOT allows smaller stakers to stake their HEGIC, getting zHEGIC (tokenized staked hegic) and also earning zLOT rewards.
Find out more in the tweet thread above, keeping in mind that this is unaudited, risky code.
